The short version

  • The app does not create an account with us and does not send your records to us.
  • Your data stays on your device, in an encrypted database, and you can delete it at any time.
  • We never sell your data — the only third-party processing is advertising and anonymous usage statistics, described in section 6.
  • You can reach a human at scashier6@gmail.com.

1.Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how KeoSoft (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information in connection with Smart Cashier (package name com.roidappz.smartcashier) and every update we publish for it (together, “the App”).

KeoSoft is the name under which an independent software developer publishes apps on Google Play. We are not a data broker, we do not run an advertising network, and we do not operate a cloud service that stores your records. Almost everything the App knows stays on the device in your hand.

If a question is not answered here, contact us using the details in section 17.

2.Scope of this policy

This policy covers the App itself, the data it stores, and the permissions it requests. It does not cover services we do not control — for example Google Play, Google AdMob, your own printer, the devices the App connects to (a router, a printer), or any website you open from a link inside the App. Those services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to read them.

The App is distributed through Google Play, in the countries where it is listed. This policy is the complete statement of how the App handles data — there is no separate document you need to read alongside it.

3.Privacy at a glance

The short version, before the detail:

WhatWhere it isWho can see it
Products, clients, orders and balancesEncrypted database on your deviceOnly you
Admin and cashier passwordsStored locally in hashed or encrypted formOnly you
Points balance and purchase historyStored locally on your deviceOnly you, plus Google for the purchase itself
Advertising dataCollected by Google AdMob, not by usGoogle, under its own policies
Payment detailsHandled entirely by Google PlayGoogle — never us

We do not have a copy of your records, which means we cannot read them, sell them, lose them in a breach, or hand them over. That is a deliberate design choice, not an accident.

4.Information the App stores on your device

The App does not create an account with us and does not ask you to register with us. Everything below is created by you, on your device, and stays there:

  • Sales data — products, prices, groups, orders, cash sales, credit sales, cancelled orders and cancelled payments.
  • Client data — the names and phone numbers you enter for your customers, their balances and their payment history.
  • Staff access — the admin and cashier passwords used to unlock the app.
  • Print settings — invoice title, connected printer, and the IP address and port of a network printer.
  • Points balance — the number of sales remaining in the free version, and a record of points bought through Google Play.
  • Reports and backups — statistics calculated from the same local database, and the backup files you create.

Where it is stored

Everything the app records is stored in an encrypted SQLite database (SQLCipher) inside the app's private storage on your device. There is no account, no cloud sync and no server of ours: your shop's numbers never leave your phone unless you export or print them yourself.

Sensitive values — passwords and connection settings — are encrypted before they are written to disk, and the database itself is encrypted with SQLCipher. The App's private storage is not readable by other apps on a normal, unmodified device.

5.Device permissions and why we ask for them

Android shows you a permission prompt only when a feature needs it. We ask for the following, and nothing else:

PermissionWhy the App needs itWhen
InternetSend print jobs to a network printer on your own network, load advertising, and complete in-app purchases through Google Play.Always
View Wi-Fi connections
View network connections
Change network state
Find the network printer, detect whether it is reachable, and show a clear error instead of losing a print job silently.Always
Photos and files
(read/write storage)
Save invoices and reports as PDF, and create or restore backup files.When you use it
Foreground serviceKeep a print job or a long report running while you switch away from the app.While that task runs

You can refuse any permission, and you can revoke it later in Android Settings → Apps → Smart Cashier → Permissions. Refusing a permission disables the feature that depends on it; the rest of the App keeps working.

6.Advertising and analytics

The free version is supported by advertising. Ads are supplied by Google AdMob, and they are rewarded video ads: when you watch one to the end, you earn points that let you record more sales.

To show ads, Google may collect and process your advertising identifier (Advertising ID), coarse device and network information, and data about how you interacted with the ad. We do not receive your advertising identifier ourselves, and we never link ad data to your sales records or your customers. Google acts as an independent controller for this data under its own privacy policy.

The free version also uses Google Analytics for Firebase to collect aggregated usage statistics and crash diagnostics. These are not linked to your customers or your sales.

You can reset or delete your Advertising ID, and turn off ad personalisation, in Android Settings → Google → Ads. Buying the full version removes advertising completely.

7.Purchases and payments

The free version sells two things through Google Play Billing: packs of points, and the full version (which removes the points system and all advertising).

Google processes the payment and is the merchant of record. We never see or store your card number, billing address or any other payment detail — we only receive confirmation that a purchase completed, and which product it was.

Important: your points balance is stored on your device. If you uninstall the app or clear its data, any points you bought are lost and cannot be restored by us or by Google. The app warns you about this before you buy.

8.Third-party services

These are the only third parties involved in the App. Each one is governed by its own privacy policy, which we do not control:

ServiceWhat it doesPrivacy policy
Google AdMobRewarded video advertising in the free version.policies.google.com/technologies/ads
Google Play BillingIn-app purchases of points and of the full version.policies.google.com/privacy
Google Analytics for FirebaseAggregated usage statistics and crash diagnostics in the free version.firebase.google.com/support/privacy
Your network printerReceives print jobs over your local network. It is yours, and it is not operated by us.Controlled by you

We do not embed social networks, crash-reporting platforms, attribution trackers or data brokers beyond what is listed above.

9.What we do not collect

To be explicit, the App does not:

  • ask you to create an account with us, or collect your name, email address or phone number;
  • read your contacts, SMS, call logs or calendar;
  • listen to your microphone;
  • track your location — the location permission, where it appears at all, exists only because older Android versions require it before an app may scan for Bluetooth devices;
  • scan your photo library — you choose individual files, and only the files you pick are read;
  • run analytics of our own beyond the aggregated usage statistics described in section 6;
  • sell, rent or trade personal data.

10.How we share information

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising on our own account.

Data leaves your device in only three situations:

  • Advertising and analytics. In the free version, Google collects the data described in section 6 directly from your device, under its own policies.
  • When you export, print or share. A PDF, Excel file, backup or print job goes exactly where you send it. That destination is your choice and is outside our control.
  • When the law requires it. If we are legally compelled to disclose information. In practice we hold almost nothing that could be disclosed.

11.How long information is kept

Your records stay on your device until you delete them — by deleting individual records, clearing the App's data, or uninstalling the App. We keep no copy, so we cannot recover anything for you.

Your points balance is part of the same local data. Uninstalling the App or clearing its data deletes it, including any points you bought — we cannot restore them.

Messages you send us for support are kept for up to 24 months so that we can resolve the issue and refer back to it, and are then deleted. We do not add you to a mailing list.

12.How we protect your data

We take reasonable technical measures to protect what the App handles:

  • the database is encrypted at rest with SQLCipher;
  • connections to your own server, router or printer stay on your network and are never routed through us;
  • the App requests only the permissions a feature actually needs;
  • the App contains no remote-access or backdoor functionality.

No method of storage is perfectly secure. Your device's lock screen, your operating-system updates, your backups and the files you export are your responsibility. If you lose your device, change any password the App stored.

13.Children's privacy

Smart Cashier is a professional tool for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13, or under the higher age set by the law of your country.

If you believe a child has used the App and entered personal data, delete the App's data or contact us and we will help you remove it.

14.Your rights and choices

Because we never receive your records, most of your rights are exercised directly in the App — deleting a record, clearing the App's data or uninstalling it is an effective erasure, and it happens instantly.

Controls inside the App

  • Delete any record you entered, at any time, from the screen that holds it.
  • Clear the App's data in Android Settings → Apps → Smart Cashier → Storage to remove everything the App has stored.
  • Uninstall the App to remove it and its local data altogether.
  • Reset your Advertising ID, or turn off ad personalisation, in Android Settings → Google → Ads.

Statutory rights

Depending on where you live, the law may give you the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. We honour those rights for the small amount of data we actually hold — in practice, your support correspondence. For anything the App keeps on your device, you exercise those rights yourself in the App, because we cannot see that data and therefore cannot retrieve or delete it for you.

How to exercise them

Write to scashier6@gmail.com and tell us what you need. We answer within 30 days. For data held by Google as an advertising or billing provider, use your Google account controls — we cannot act on your behalf there.

15.International transfers

We do not transfer your records internationally, because we never receive them.

Google may process advertising and purchase data in countries outside your own. Those transfers are governed by Google's own safeguards, including the standard contractual clauses it publishes.

16.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the App changes — for example when a new feature needs a new permission, or when the law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page always shows the current version.

If a change materially affects how data is handled, we will say so in the App's release notes on Google Play before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the App after that point means you accept the updated policy.

Earlier versions are available on request.

17.Contact us

Questions about this policy, or a request about your data, can be sent to us directly:

We aim to reply within 5 business days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the data protection authority in your country, where one exists.
