Privacy Policy
CodeMaker (Free) — MikroTik hotspot and User Manager card generator.
The short version
- The app does not create an account with us and does not send your records to us.
- Your data stays on your device, in the App's private storage, and you can delete it at any time.
- We never sell your data — the only third-party processing is advertising and anonymous usage statistics, described in section 6.
- You can reach a human at scashier6@gmail.com.
1.Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how KeoSoft (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information in connection with CodeMaker (Free) (package name com.keosoft.codemaker) and every update we publish for it (together, “the App”).
KeoSoft is the name under which an independent software developer publishes apps on Google Play. We are not a data broker, we do not run an advertising network, and we do not operate a cloud service that stores your records. Almost everything the App knows stays on the device in your hand.
If a question is not answered here, contact us using the details in section 17.
2.Scope of this policy
This policy covers the App itself, the data it stores, and the permissions it requests. It does not cover services we do not control — for example Google Play, Google AdMob, your own MikroTik router, the devices the App connects to (a router, a printer), or any website you open from a link inside the App. Those services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to read them.
The App is distributed through Google Play, in the countries where it is listed. This policy is the complete statement of how the App handles data — there is no separate document you need to read alongside it.
3.Privacy at a glance
The short version, before the detail:
| What | Where it is | Who can see it |
|---|---|---|
| Router address, user name and password | Local database on your device; the password is encrypted | Only you |
| Card designs and generated vouchers | Local database and the files you export | Only you, and whoever you give the files to |
| Profiles and users read from your router | Local database on your device | Only you |
| Advertising and usage statistics | Collected by Google AdMob and Google Analytics for Firebase | Google, under its own policies |
We do not have a copy of your records, which means we cannot read them, sell them, lose them in a breach, or hand them over. That is a deliberate design choice, not an accident.
4.Information the App stores on your device
The App does not create an account with us and does not ask you to register with us. Everything below is created by you, on your device, and stays there:
- Router connection details — IP address or host name, user name, password (encrypted before it is written to disk), API/SSL/SSH ports and connection options.
- Router profiles — the hotspot and User Manager profile names, prices, validity periods and limits that the app reads from your router.
- Card designs — colours, shapes, network name, price text, phone numbers, currency, validity, logo or photo, code and password positions, fonts and page size.
- Generated vouchers — the codes, user names, passwords, serial numbers and generation dates produced by the app.
- App settings — language, theme, default character set, code length and bind-on-first-use options.
Where it is stored
Everything the app knows about your network is stored in a local SQLite database inside the app's private storage on your device. The app talks directly to your MikroTik router over your network; there is no server of ours in the middle, and no copy of your router credentials, profiles or vouchers is sent to us.
Passwords and connection details are encrypted before they are written to disk, so they are not stored as readable text. The App's private storage is not readable by other apps on a normal, unmodified device.
5.Device permissions and why we ask for them
Android shows you a permission prompt only when a feature needs it. We ask for the following, and nothing else:
| Permission | Why the App needs it | When |
|---|---|---|
| Internet | Reach your MikroTik router through the RouterOS API or SSH, and load advertising in the free version. | Always |
| View Wi-Fi connections View network connections Change network state | Detect whether you are on the router's network, and warn you when the router's hotspot login page is blocking the connection. | Always |
| Photos and files (write storage) | Save generated cards as PDF, HTML or text files, and read the logo or photo you pick for a design. | When you export |
| Foreground service | Keep a long card generation or the active-user monitor running while the screen is off. | While that task runs |
You can refuse any permission, and you can revoke it later in Android Settings → Apps → CodeMaker (Free) → Permissions. Refusing a permission disables the feature that depends on it; the rest of the App keeps working.
6.Advertising and analytics
The free version is supported by advertising. Ads are supplied by Google AdMob. Before a free generation begins, the app may ask you to watch a rewarded video ad; when the video finishes, the generation starts.
To show ads, Google may collect and process your advertising identifier (Advertising ID), coarse device and network information, and data about how you interacted with the ad. We do not receive your advertising identifier ourselves, and we never link ad data to your router details or your vouchers. Google acts as an independent controller for this data under its own privacy policy.
The free version also uses Google Analytics for Firebase to collect aggregated usage statistics (for example app opens and which screens are used) and diagnostic information. These statistics help us find crashes and decide what to improve. They are not used to identify you, and they are never linked to your router credentials.
You can reset or delete your Advertising ID, and turn off ad personalisation, in Android Settings → Google → Ads. Buying CodeMaker Pro removes advertising and analytics completely.
7.Purchases and payments
The free version does not sell anything inside the app. To remove advertising and the free-version generation limits, you can buy the separate CodeMaker Pro app on Google Play.
That purchase is processed entirely by Google. We never see or store your card number, billing address or any other payment detail — we only receive confirmation that a valid licence exists.
8.Third-party services
These are the only third parties involved in the App. Each one is governed by its own privacy policy, which we do not control:
| Service | What it does | Privacy policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Rewarded video advertising in the free version. | policies.google.com/technologies/ads |
| Google Analytics for Firebase | Aggregated usage statistics and crash diagnostics in the free version. | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| Google Play | App distribution, updates and licence checks. | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Your MikroTik router | The device the app manages. It is yours, and it is not operated by us. | Controlled by you |
We do not embed social networks, crash-reporting platforms, attribution trackers or data brokers beyond what is listed above.
9.What we do not collect
To be explicit, the App does not:
- ask you to create an account with us, or collect your name, email address or phone number;
- read your contacts, SMS, call logs or calendar;
- listen to your microphone;
- track your location — the location permission, where it appears at all, exists only because older Android versions require it before an app may scan for Bluetooth devices;
- scan your photo library — you choose individual files, and only the files you pick are read;
- run analytics of our own beyond the aggregated usage statistics described in section 6;
- sell, rent or trade personal data.
11.How long information is kept
Your records stay on your device until you delete them — by deleting individual records, clearing the App's data, or uninstalling the App. We keep no copy, so we cannot recover anything for you.
Generated vouchers also remain on your router until you delete them there. The App's “delete” function removes them from both places; if you only uninstall the App, the vouchers stay on the router.
Messages you send us for support are kept for up to 24 months so that we can resolve the issue and refer back to it, and are then deleted. We do not add you to a mailing list.
12.How we protect your data
We take reasonable technical measures to protect what the App handles:
- passwords and connection details are encrypted before they are written to disk;
- connections to your own server, router or printer stay on your network and are never routed through us;
- the App requests only the permissions a feature actually needs;
- the App contains no remote-access or backdoor functionality.
No method of storage is perfectly secure. Your device's lock screen, your operating-system updates, your backups and the files you export are your responsibility. If you lose your device, change any password the App stored.
13.Children's privacy
CodeMaker (Free) is a professional tool for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13, or under the higher age set by the law of your country.
If you believe a child has used the App and entered personal data, delete the App's data or contact us and we will help you remove it.
14.Your rights and choices
Because we never receive your records, most of your rights are exercised directly in the App — deleting a record, clearing the App's data or uninstalling it is an effective erasure, and it happens instantly.
Controls inside the App
- Delete any record you entered, at any time, from the screen that holds it.
- Clear the App's data in Android Settings → Apps → CodeMaker (Free) → Storage to remove everything the App has stored.
- Uninstall the App to remove it and its local data altogether.
- Reset your Advertising ID, or turn off ad personalisation, in Android Settings → Google → Ads.
Statutory rights
Depending on where you live, the law may give you the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. We honour those rights for the small amount of data we actually hold — in practice, your support correspondence. For anything the App keeps on your device, you exercise those rights yourself in the App, because we cannot see that data and therefore cannot retrieve or delete it for you.
How to exercise them
Write to scashier6@gmail.com and tell us what you need. We answer within 30 days. For data held by Google as an advertising or billing provider, use your Google account controls — we cannot act on your behalf there.
15.International transfers
We do not transfer your records internationally, because we never receive them.
Google may process advertising and purchase data in countries outside your own. Those transfers are governed by Google's own safeguards, including the standard contractual clauses it publishes.
16.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the App changes — for example when a new feature needs a new permission, or when the law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page always shows the current version.
If a change materially affects how data is handled, we will say so in the App's release notes on Google Play before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the App after that point means you accept the updated policy.
Earlier versions are available on request.
17.Contact us
Questions about this policy, or a request about your data, can be sent to us directly:
- Email: scashier6@gmail.com
- Telegram: t.me/keosoft (usually the fastest way to reach us)
We aim to reply within 5 business days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the data protection authority in your country, where one exists.
